Edmonds Beach Video

7/14/2009

Last weekend my friend John Vicory joined me at Edmonds Beach to shoot the sunset. It was my first time shooting with my new Sony HDR-HC9, Rode VideoMic, and Manfrotto 501HDV tripod head. I did (maybe too much) color grading with Magic Bullet Movie Looks. One reason I got the Sony camcorder was that it offers the Smooth Slow Motion feature, which basically records at 240fps for 3 seconds, and then plays it back over 12 seconds slowed down. You can see that these clips arent as sharp as the normal ones, but it is definetly a cool effect.

I have a bunch more gear on its way, so stay tuned for even cooler looking videos!

I also shot a few slow motion clips of John doing a back flip.
